What is BosNets?

BosNets is an independent operational communication system that works without a cellular network, an internet connection or any other centralised infrastructure. It consists of the BosMag communication device, the BosApp mobile application, the BosBase relay station and the BosLog desktop software. The devices form a mesh network among themselves; because every device is also a relay, the area covered grows as the team grows. Where the internet is available a message travels through the server; when the connection drops, the system falls back to the mesh with no action from the user.

In the field

BosNets tests its products within an actual operational workflow rather than under laboratory conditions. Between 17 and 20 August 2026 the BosNets system was deployed in the field for four days at the Drone Search Competition held in Samsun, organised by AFAD, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency of the Turkish Ministry of the Interior, with the participation of teams from all 81 provinces. Search and rescue personnel marked the position of objects detected by drone through BosApp; the provincial AFAD directors in the vehicle serving as the coordination centre viewed the same markers on the BosLog map in real time. The marked position was then compared with the actual position of the object in order to measure positional deviation.

The deployment demonstrated two principal contributions of the system. Marking a position on a map, rather than relaying coordinates verbally over a radio, appreciably shortens coordination time. Secondly, the flow of information between the coordination centre and field teams becomes verifiable on a single screen. A detailed assessment of the four-day deployment is available on our blog.

Company details

BosNets is based in Istanbul, Türkiye. The communication device, the mobile application and the desktop software are all developed by the team; the system depends on no single supplier or external platform. For corporate and public-sector evaluations, technical assessments, specification documents and requests for proposal are answered directly by our co-founder.

Our Team

BosNets is developed by an interdisciplinary team working at the intersection of engineering, product development and field requirements. Our team is made up of members specialized in hardware design, software development and system architecture, and it shapes every solution around real usage scenarios.
