BosLog — Operations Management and Logging Console
BosLog is the desktop side of the BosNets network and acts as the coordination centre's screen. Team leaders and managers reach the communication network and its data from a computer: who is where, which task is at which stage, which message was delivered when. The application's second function is the record; communication data is collected, archived and made reportable. Beyond easing coordination during an operation, this leaves a verifiable record for post-incident analysis and legal traceability. Tasks can be assigned to field personnel and the whole operation can be run from one screen.

Runs the operation from one screen
The position, status and communication of every team in the field gather in one interface. The coordination centre does not have to ask over the radio to find out who is where.
Keeps the record automatically
All communication is archived with timestamps. After an operation, what was reported and when can be verified from the records — which matters both for incident analysis and for legal traceability.
Assigns and tracks tasks
Tasks are defined for field personnel and their status is tracked. Communication and task records can be reported at the end of a shift or an operation.

Is BosLog used in the field or at the centre?
Being a desktop application, it is used mainly at the coordination centre. It can also run in the field from a computer set up in a vehicle or tent — it only needs to reach the network.
How long are records kept, and who can access them?
When a private closed network is set up for an organisation, records stay on that organisation's own server; retention periods and access rights are set by the organisation. The data does not leave it.
Does BosLog work on an operation with no internet?
Yes. BosLog works as long as it reaches the network, and that link can come over the internet or over the mesh. A BosBase placed at the operations centre is used to carry that link.
How do task assignments reach the field team?
A task defined in BosLog drops onto the field team's BosApp screen over the network. With no cellular coverage, the task travels over the mesh.
